Fearless Ideas Course Announcement Announcing the 2014 Fearless Ideas Courses The Academy for Innovation & Entrepreneurship is proud to announce the launch of the Fearless Ideas Courses. What are Fearless Ideas Courses? Fearless Ideas courses embed innovation and entrepreneurship into the classroom. Multidisciplinary teams of faculty across campus created these courses allowing students to exercise their innovation muscles and come up with unexpected solutions to tough problems in a variety of different fields & disciplines. Who should take a Fearless Ideas Course? These courses are open to anyone interested in generating Fearless Ideas and offer a variety of different experience levels and end-goals. Are these courses only for entrepreneurially-minded students? No, these courses are not just for aspiring entrepreneurs. We take a broader view of what innovation is – it is about creating new solutions for tough problems – the way in which these ideas are implemented might take the form of anything from a new program or service run by an existing organization to a brand-new startup. What should students expect when taking a Fearless Ideas Course? Students are introduced to an innovation and/or entrepreneurial process such as Design Thinking or Lean Launchpad. They work in teams with students of various majors and work on real-world projects with often an opportunity to actually implement the Fearless Ideas generated. When are these courses offered? These courses will be offered at least once every year for the next three years, and new courses will be added every year. Please share this news with directors, professors, and advisors. How often are new Fearless Ideas Courses developed? Fearless Ideas RFPs are released every Fall semester. If faculty are interested in developing a Fearless Ideas course of their own, look for the next RFP in Fall 2014. For a full listing of the Fearless Ideas courses visit: ter.ps/iamFEARLESS
