Farrell, Chair, Campus Senate FROM: David Falk SUBJECT: Proposed Senate Resolution on the Academic Planning Advisory Committee The Senate may care to know that item 2 of the proposed resolution on the Academic Planning Advisory Committee (APAC) differs somewhat from the recommendation contained in the "Report of the Task Force on the Impact of New Proposals on Academic Programs and Campus Resources," as approved by the Senate on February 22, 1982. That is the document that is responsible for the creation of APAC. The relevant part of the recommendation of that report (Recommendation 3.A.) reads as follows. A majority of the members of the committee should be full- time tenured faculty members who do not hold an administrative position at the level of department chairman or higher. For your information, I enclose the list of members of APAC for each year since its inception. Attachment CC: Irwin L.
